We have before us a colossal operation in which man has always constantly to do with their own obstacles to create, to be able to pass or evade them, freeing herself from ever totally primal problem that has affected the solution
Would seem a clock, but it is not. But is a twenty-four-disc box set of the one hour. So if you have done well the calculations, you should have uninterrupted music for 24 hours. This is the crazy idea (not so crazy in the implementation, but rather for what's behind this choice) is Frank Rothkamm, brilliant artist who in his life has done (and is doing) everything. Student of biology and philosophy, has always pursued the most varied projects, not just music - just to make you understand the presence on the scene "cultural" American, it is worth remembering the appearance of Playboy with his second wife Monique Marquisa de Magdalena , raves with dancers and drummer in San Francisco, Hollywood has worked as a web designer and has developed a new method of composition (as well as having developed with the ATARI keyboard apparatus IFORMM). And now here we are today, including Linux operating systems and construction of computer vintage, and new research in the field of music. But from the beginning: in 2010 she was diagnosed with Rothkamm syndrome "Tinnitus" (also called "ringing in the ears), which is not really a disease, but a condition that can occur for several reasons. Clinically recognize two types of phenomena: Tinnitus Tinnitus subjective and objective. The first type is the most frequent and can not be measured externally, the second is yes. This syndrome, whose roots are a particular form of mental disorder, brought our to seek a cure to "mask" the very high frequencies to which he was sentenced. He began his research, the cure is not found and Rothkamm fails in its intent. But since not every cloud has a silver lining, here the artist is a method of composition translated into "psicostocastica" which leads to the following result: the composition of "timeless music." To help us understand what is this state of eternity aspired "his music", we should make up for the Wiener process (hence the title Wiener Process), used to model the Brownian motion (random motion of the particles, in parallel to the of our brain disorder) and other random phenomena observed in the field of applied mathematics, finance and physics. Every hour of this Magnum Opus, is nothing more than a portion of an "ultra moment of Planck time" (time taken for the light to travel the length of 1 Planck, a relationship that involves gravitational force, quantum physics and special relativity theory ). There are 24, as the hours of the day. Once set, the Wiener process, the sound, in theory, continues until the listener comes to the conclusion of their lives.
If you had the patience to read and understand, up to this point, then we can briefly describe briefly this experience that, in music history, is hardly equal. If, however, you have not had the perseverance to read the above, well, go back up and leggetevelo. Without his "blister theoretical" this would make no sense (a search that lasted more than four years). Each piece is "a slice of infinity", without beginning, development or end. It starts from the first hour (not all listeners will be able to perceive the frequencies of the pink noise -10000 Hz) and exponentially we have, with the transition from one hour to the next, adding melody composed stochastically (yes, exact, he did also Xenakis). After the twelfth hour, things start to become more and more serious, until you get to 277 sound events per second. The truce comes at 24 hours, a delicate field recordings titled Hyperacusis Man opus 82. The whole entire work is designed to headphones at low volume and all psychoacoustic effects will not be depended on changes in volume or our level of attention - witness personally.
As you can see, here we go beyond listening. Here you go in the physiology of the sound, in the anatomy of listening, which is in the composition method, not fancy, will or all that we commonly think of when it has to do with a musician. We may not have to do with a musician, or maybe we do not have to do with the music (I do not dare to utter a sentence like that plague seize me otherwise). The fact is that we have before us a colossal operation in which man has always constantly to do with their own obstacles to create, to be able to pass or evade them, freeing herself from ever totally primal problem that has affected the solution (never found, in this case, has generated more traps, limits, difficulties, rationalism, etc.) - "influence", etymologically, means "slide in". Something has influenced Rothkamm, something has influenced his music, etc. All a game of influences (and when we deal with influences such as rock, electronic, dubstep, jazz, blues, avant-garde music from tape, etc. You draw a smile on the face of tenderness, compared with similar complexity), and at this point, why not talk about the influence of the medical language, something that strikes us from the inside, flowing inside us? Are men or listeners?

Siete uomini o ascoltatori?
